Introduction to Julia
For those of you who don’t know, Julia is a multiple-paradigm (fully imperative, partially functional, and partially object-oriented) programming language designed for scientific and technical (read numerical) computing. It offers significant performance gains over Python (when used without optimization and vectorized computing using Cython and NumPy). Time to develop is reduced by a factor of 2x on average. Performance gains range in the range from 10x-30x over Python (R is even slower, so we don’t include it. R was not built for speed). Industry reports in 2016 indicated that Julia was a language with high potential and…
Bryan woke up with a gentle alarm in the form of the embedded chip that all humans had for interfacing with the 2050 digital device ecosystem. “So much less stressful than the antique alarm app”, he reflected.
His SiriBot AI secretary and assistant robot came up to his bedside and spoke. “What game would you like to play today? Cricket as usual?”
Bryan smiled. The thing he liked the most about his digital devices was the virtual reality and augmented reality sports he played every day. Getting up, he grinned in anticipation. “I’ll play cricket”, he said. “I’d like to…
My dearest mother and my dearest father,
I love you both, I yearn to meet you.
I hold nothing against you.
I know it was never your wish.
To kill me.
To cut me up,
With scissors,
Piece by piece,
Without anaesthesia.
I died never seeing:
I died never hearing:
I died never touching:
What I wanted to see,
Hear and touch,
More than anything:
Your faces,
your hands.
Your voices.
Both of you.
I will always love you.
Though I died,
You are my mother and father,
Family for ever and ever.
I cherish you both. I will hold…
Who am I?
My name is Thomas.
I don’t look that great (6 ft.0 in, 220 pounds).
I have no taste for fashion styles, etc.
I have friends, some casual, others closer than family.
I don’t have a ton of money.
I’m a plain staple of society.
Nothing special.
Quite ordinary.
Does any of that make me the luckiest and happiest person in the world? Well…
I am a Christian who is trying to live ethically (don’t always succeed). But —
I have a relationship with God.
Despite all my failures, He remains with me. …
If you are digitally connected to the deep dark world of the Internet, you will meet up with the porn phenomenon at least once. What happens after that depends upon two things — your age and your life fulfillment.
I shudder to think of the billions of children around the world who would have never seen a sexual act being exposed to entire collections of all of the worst things a human being can do. And yes — exposure to pornography early in life decreases the age of sexual maturity, as several studies have found.
Now I can go into…
So you want to learn data science but you don’t know where to start? Or you are a beginner and you want to learn the basic concepts? Welcome to your new career and your new life! You will discover a lot of things on your journey to becoming a data scientist and being part of a new revolution. I am a firm believer that you can learn data science and become a data scientist regardless of your age, your background, your current knowledge level, your gender, and your current position in life. I believe — from experience — that anyone…
TensorFlow 2.0 is coming soon. And boy, are we super-excited! TensorFlow first began the trend of open-sourcing AI and DL frameworks for use by the community. And what has been the result? TensorFlow has become an entire ML ecosystem for all kinds of AI technology. Just to give you an idea, here are the features that an absolutely incredible community has added to the original TensorFlow package:
Now there are a multitude of data science resources out there, all of whom claim to be the “best possible introductory to advanced material and courseware on the subject of data science”. Now I’ve made mistakes in choosing my data science references to buy and keep (and use) but I’ll be sharing what I’ve learned through experience to be the most effective for these particular topics. This list is both effective and born out of experience by going through them one at a time. The list of resources contains the following items:
A set of most basic and important Data Science Interview Questions to prepare to get the job!
Now suppose you read a question about a topic like overfitting. You can read the text and memorize the answer. Usually, articles with this heading (Interview Questions and Answers) are normally constructed that way, with plain text questions and answers. You could follow that route for interview preparation, but it is simply not the right thing to do. I can give you a list of important questions, with answers. Which is exactly what I will do in this article, later.
But you need…
